Glyndwr Consulting is an independent, senior-led chartered quantity surveying practice and cost consultancy based in Cardiff. Since 2018 we have provided cost management for public and private sector clients across Wales, Bristol, Bath and the South West.
Glyndwr Consulting was started in 2018 by directors Mark George and Paul Lavelle. After decades with national practices, they set up Glyndwr to give clients the depth of a large practice with the attention of a small, independent firm.
That approach has not changed. Our directors stay involved from the first budget to the final account, and the team has grown to eight people with more than 70 years of combined experience across education, blue light, residential, commercial and heritage projects.
The principles behind how we work with every client.
Directors stay involved throughout your project, not just at the bid stage, so experienced judgement is there when decisions are made.
We have no ties to contractors or suppliers. Our advice is impartial and focused on the right outcome for you.
Clear cost reporting, early warning of risk and straightforward advice, so budgets are understood and decisions are made with confidence.
A Cardiff firm that invests locally through apprenticeships, social value and community support, with a Welsh speaker on our team.
We support public and private sector clients across Wales and the South West, including WEPCo, the Welsh Ambulance Service, Avon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Swansea University and National Museums Wales.
Our services cover the full life of a project, from feasibility and cost planning through procurement and construction to handover and final account. We are an RICS regulated firm and hold Cyber Essentials certification. See our case studies.
Our team of eight runs from directors to a trainee surveyor on a degree apprenticeship, and we are proud to bring new people into the profession. We are based at Eastern Business Park in Cardiff, where clients are always welcome to visit. Meet the team.
We work with the RICS Wales Regional Board on social value, including support for Rumney Community Forum, and we sponsor Marshfield Junior Football. Investing in our local community matters to us as much as the projects we deliver.
