Two further education projects for Cardiff and Vale College, procured through WEPCo. Both buildings are being designed to run at net zero carbon.
Barry Waterfront Campus. A 6,000 m², three-storey building on a former brownfield site in the Waterfront Innovation Quarter, serving around 855 students. Alongside general teaching space it will have facilities for art, hospitality and hairdressing, including a salon and restaurant open to the public.
Advanced Technology Centre. A 13,000 m² building at Cardiff Airport, next to the college’s aerospace training centre, for close to 2,000 learners. It will focus on engineering and emerging technology, with workshops, composites manufacturing, robotics labs and a green skills house.
Contractor: Bouygues UK. FM provider: Robertson FM. Both are planned to open in 2027.
