Mynydd Isa Campus, Flintshire
New build 3-16 age range school. The net zero carbon project co-locates Ysol Mynydd Isa (primary) and Argoed High School in a new building on the Argoed High School site. The project is being delivered in two phases with the first phase including the new school buildings with associated infrastructure and the second phase including the demolition of the existing building with residual infrastructure. The new school building is due to complete ready for the September 2024 term start.

Pontyclun Primary School, Palalwyf Avenue, Pontyclun
New build 2FE Primary school. The net zero carbon two story “L” shaped school is being built on the existing playing fields of the current school. The project is being delivered in two phases with the first phase including the new school buildings with associated infrastructure and the second phase including the demolition of the existing building with residual infrastructure and associated external play areas. Where possible elements of standardisation will be utilised across the RCT primary schools.

Llandore Court PRS (Construction Phase), Cardiff
The mixed-development site will include two ground floor commercial units in a "U-shaped block" rising from five storeys on the Charles Street side to 25 storeys at the rear on Wesley Lane.
The block of 152 apartments will include 48 studios, 66 one-bed and 38 two-bed apartments.

Penygawsi Primary School, Llantrisant, Pontyclun

The project is being delivered in two phases with the first phase including the new school buildings with associated infrastructure and the second phase including the demolition of the existing building with residual infrastructure and associated external play areas. Where possible elements of standardisation will be utilised across the RCT primary schools.

LIVin City Road - Student Accommodation Recladding works
Although the building’s external wall system fully complies with building regulations, and the appointed fire engineer stated that no action was required, Modra Investments have taken the decision to install a system that offers the highest level of fire protection and achieves A1 EWS1 certification. Works comprise the temporary removal of the buildings cladding in order that an insulation product that offers enhanced fire protection may be installed.
Key Challenges;
- Maintaining building occupancy during the works
- Preventing water ingress
- Multiple access agreements (given constrained site)

The project is being delivered in two phases with the first phase including the new school buildings with associated infrastructure and the second phase including the demolition of the existing building with residual infrastructure and associated external play areas. It is planned the building will be complete for the September 2023 term start. Where possible elements of standardisation will be utilised across the RCT primary schools.

Net Carbon Zero meaning a building that is highly energy efficient and powered from on-site and/or off-site renewable energy sources, with any remaining carbon balance offset.
