A net zero campus for Newport’s Knowledge Quarter
About the project
A new Coleg Gwent building in the Newport Knowledge Quarter, procured through WEPCo and designed to run at net zero carbon. It will bring together courses currently delivered at other Coleg Gwent sites.
The aim is to give local people the higher level and technical skills employers need. Subjects will range from business, science and engineering to construction, visual arts, hair and beauty, and catering, with a training kitchen and salon that the public can use.
The building is around 16,000 m², will cater for up to 3,500 students and is planned to open in 2029.
